Samuels Helps West Indies Won 3rd ODI

Mirpur: Marlon Samuels' 4th century helped the West Indies defeat Bangladesh by 4 wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium here on Wednesday. Darren Sammy's men now trail 1-2 in the 5 match series. 

Chasing Bangladesh's 1st innings score of 227 all out, the West Indies chased down the total with 18 balls to spare, riding on knocks from Marlon Samuels (126) and Kieran Powell (47).runs 

Earlier, Sunil Narine returned to his most excellent as the wily spinner took 4 wickets to restrict Bangladesh to 227 in the 3rd ODI against the West Indies at Shere Bangla stadium on Wednesday. 

 The tourists, vying to keep the 5-match series alive after losing the 1st 2 one-day, sent Bangladesh into bat and kept them in check through Narine's 4-37 and left-armer Veerasammy Permaul who done with 2-40. 

 Mohammad Mahmudullah (52), Mushfiqur Rahim (38) and Anamul Haque (33) were the main run-getters for Bangladesh. Tamim Iqbal (22) and Anamul look solid before Bangladesh lost 4 wickets in the space of just 21 runs, with Narine taking 3.
The 24-year-old spinner's form was a concern for the West Indies as he managed just 3 wickets in the preceding 2-0 Test series win and only one wicket in the 1st 1 one-day matches, but he lastly returned to his best. 

Narine struck in the 13th over when he dismissed Iqbal and Naeem Islam (4) in one over before trapping the second match centurion Anamul leg-before in his next over. A sixth wicket stand of 58 between Rahim and Mahmudullah allowed the hosts to get back on track. Mahmudullah hit 3 fours and a six off 70 balls and ensured his team got past 200. 

At the end Sohag Gazi scored a fighting 36-ball 30 with the help of five boundaries. Bangladesh was forced to bring in Rubel Hossain for injured paceman Abul Hasan while the West Indies left out Lendl Simmons and Andre Russell for Kieran Powell and Permaul. 

The 4th ODI will be held at Mirpur on December 7.Bangladesh won the first match by 7 wickets and the second by 160 runs -- both in Khulna.
